Jos Rovers, CTPC, MSc., CCMM
We welcome Jos Rovers as a certified Transformational Presence Coach. For more than 20 years Jos Rovers of the Netherlands was a successful and inspired director in the financial world, However, several years ago, he realized that something else was calling, and he changed his career to consulting and coaching. He is now fully dedicated to bringing change and growth to people and organizations.
His financial services career began at Interpolis, a Dutch insurance company, where he became involved in the large “Business Process Redesign” programs that were common in corporate strategy during the late 1980s. It was during this time that he became deeply interested in innovation and change. Later he worked as a manager for new business development, setting up insurance companies abroad. He was a member of the executive board of Amev Insurance Company, and ended up his financial services career as vice president at Rabobank Group, the largest retail bank in the Netherlands. As head of Private Banking, he successfully relaunched its private banking formula by making it less “exclusive” and more “achievable and open” to clients.
Then, step by step, transformation came to his own professional career. Fascinated by the deeper understanding of life and change, he realized it was time to leave his positions in the financial services industry to start working as a consultant and coach for professional change, both for organizations and for people.
In 2010, Jos met Thom Schouten and together they founded “www.heteerstehuis.nl,” a Dutch company focusing on deep sustainable change. The name of the company was inspired by their work with Alan’s Manifestation Wheel. “Het Eerste Huis” is now producing programs, workshops, and trainings in The Netherlands in the areas of leadership, teamwork, personal growth, and organizational change.
Jos’s big vision is to bring the beauty of transformational work to a corporate environment, a place that, as he says, “doesn’t always act or think first in that way!” However, his charismatic and gentle approach has been bringing him clients from the private sector as well as in the corporate and governmental markets.
Jos graduated cum laude from Rotterdam Erasmus University Business School, and recently completed a masters degree in Change management at the Amsterdam Free University. At the same time that he was pursuing his masters degree, he was also enrolled in the Transformational Presence Coach Training program. He quite successfully included many practices and concepts of Transformational Presence Coaching in his work with clients as a part of the masters program and in his final thesis.
Jos lives near Utrecht in the Netherlands with his wife and their two children.

Marie Josee Smulders, CTPC, MS
Marie Josee Smulders brings a wealth of education, professional, and life experience to her work as a Certified Transformational Presence Coach. Early in her professional life she was a high school teacher and inspired her students to tap into their greatest potential. After raising three sons, she went on to study cultural and social science, exploring world-wide communication and cultural choices and patterns. She started her own company, “Labyrint Consultants” to help people become more aware of their own choices and developed a training program for people who were having difficulties in finding work. She is also a trainer for Diversity Joy in The Netherlands.
Through her work, she began to feel that there was a gap between mental coaching and energetic coaching. Having been educated in a “mental” system, she began exploring the “energetic” path. She studied shamanism through the Healing the Light Body school where she learned how to use and trust sacred space and how to work with energy in a healing process. She also travelled twice to Peru to study with the indigenous shamans there.
In 2006 Marie Josee and Gabriella van Rooij invited Alan Seale to teach in The Netherlands, and they have been hosting his personal development workshops and supporting the Transformational Presence Leadership and Coach Training program in Holland since then. Together they founded Stichting Seale in Holland. Through the coach training and the many workshops she has assisted Alan in, she found the tools and skills she needed to introduce this energetic way of working to her coaching clients.
Marie Josee shares that her soul mission is to bring heaven on earth. She lives that through seeking alignment every day in her own life and helping her clients do the same—facing their challenges, making clear and supportive choices, and seeing the path ahead. She is grateful to be able to serve as a Certified Transformational Presence Coach.
